Climaventures is the first Green Climate Fund (GCF) approved programme by the National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) and focuses on developing local homegrown climate solutions by harnessing Pakistan’s dynamic and growing start-up ecosystem.
Pakistan stands on the frontline of climate vulnerability, grappling with severe droughts and devastating floods. With ambitious targets outlined in its national commitments focused on agriculture, water, health, and disaster resilience, the country presents an urgent and significant demand for climate solutions.
We are looking for innovative climate solutions from entrepreneurs looking to scale their initiatives and become a part of the climate action ecosystem of Pakistan.
Component 1
Cimaventures Accelerator
The Accelerator is a venture-building programme that supports ideation-stage startups in developing climate solutions, validating their impact, launching Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), and unlocking pathways to investment and scalability.
The Accelerator provides sector-specific mentorship, business support, access to industry networks, and venture grants (up to USD 50,000 per venture) to help startups develop MVPs, validate climate impact, and attract investment.
Component 2
Climaventures Fund
The Fund invests in early to late-stage climate ventures in Pakistan, providing equity financing to help commercially viable businesses scale their operations, drive climate impact, and expand market opportunities.
The Fund provides equity financing (USD 2-3 million per venture) to expand operations, enhance market readiness, and drive climate impact.
